Directions from Edmonton International Airport

The Edmonton International Airport is located 24 km south of campus and right on highway 2 leading to Edmonton. Visitors can chose between Airport Taxi Service, Sky Shuttle, or (rental) car.

• Airport Taxi Service is available from the curb of the arrivals level. Rides to the UofA campus take about 30 minutes outside rush hour and will be billed at a fixed cost ($46 dd Nov 16, 2008; see Airport Taxi Service for details).
• Sky Shuttle buses leave from the central area of the arrivals level to different destinations in the city. The university route operates on a 45 minute frequency Sunday to Friday on a 1 hour frequency on Saturdays and holidays. The cost is $15 one-way or $30 return. Cash and major credit cards are accepted.
  The bus stops in front of the Varscona and Campus Towers hotels. The Campus Towers stop should also be used to directly go to campus as it is just one block from the MMI buildings, on the corner of 114 St. and 87 Ave. Travel time is approximately 30 minutes.
• To drive to campus by car, take airport road to highway 2, north. Follow the directions to Edmonton. Highway 2 continues into Gateway Boulevard, follow Gateway Boulevard until 82nd Ave and turn left till you reach 109 St. After 5 blocks turn left onto 87th Ave, the Medical Science buildings are on the left hand side between 112 and 114 Street. Medical Sciences Building (MSB)

The first floor of the medical sciences building houses our main office, central facilities, teaching laboratories, and several research laboratories. To limit short-cut traffic through the department, the east-entry door is locked. Visitors should therefore enter by the west-entry (from 114 Street). Press the small push button next to the door to unlock it.

To reach the main office walk towards the centre of the building. Turn right after the ice machine to reach the office in room 1-41.
